Seeing The Wood From The Trees- Biomass Today
Rivergreen Centre, Aykley Heads
With tightening building regulations and zero carbon homes by 2016 now a reality, the Energy Saving Trust advice centre and Constructing Excellence North East are working together to support you in preparation for these changes.
How can you meet the challenge?
Looking for alternatives to heating your buildings and hot water?

Using biomass is an increasingly viable option and can significantly reduce carbon emissions if it is used to displace fossil fuels, especially in 'heat only' applications such as firing boilers providing space heat and hot water in buildings.
Biomass fuels can be cheaper to use than fossil fuels in many circumstances, so, combined with increasing fossil fuel prices and energy security issues, biomass is becoming a more and more attractive option.

This seminar aims to showcase biomass as the option to generate heat and open up debate on the issue of heat generation.
This event will help you, as members of the construction industry and developers, giving successful examples and demonstrating the tools available meet the challenge of carbon neutral.
