IEMA Approved Associate Certificate - Level 3 Environmental Practitioner

TBC

A Level 3 Vocational Qualification consisting of workshops, workplace assessments, mentor visits and portfolio building

The course is designed to provide individuals with the environmental knowledge and skills necessary to improve the environmental performance of their organisation. The course requires the candidate to develop some key elements of a basic Environmental Management  System (EMS) which could be developed further to a recognised environmental standard such as ISO14001, BS8555 or EMAS.

Alternatively if the organisation already operates an EMS to a recognised standard, the candidate should review and improve this system. The candidates will also implement a waste minimisation scheme for their organisation.

Completers of this course will also be able to apply for Associate Membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).

“Our Environmental Management System ISO14001:2004 controls and ensures we are legally compliant. The course enhanced my knowledge of what the Environment means globally to mankind and why we should all be involved in minimising waste and preventing pollution. For instance our focus on waste by segregation of metal saved the company £200,000 in one year. This proves being environmentally friendly will save money.”
