IEMA Approved Associate Certificate - Level 3 Environmental Practitioner
The course is designed to provide individuals with the environmental knowledge and skills necessary to improve the environmental performance of their organisation.
Completers of this course will be able to apply for Associate Membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA).
The course requires the learner to develop some key elements of a basic Environmental Management System (EMS), which could be developed further to a recognised environmental standard such as ISO14001, BS8555 or EMAS.
Alternatively, if the organisation already operates an EMS to a recognised standard, the learner will review and improve this system. The learners will also implement a waste minimisation scheme for their organisation.

Quote from John Winter - Health, Safety & Environmental Engineer. Calsonic Kansei
“Our Environmental Management System ISO14001:2004 controls and ensures we are legally compliant. The course enhanced my knowledge of what the Environment means globally to mankind and why we should all be involved in minimising waste and preventing pollution. For instance our focus on waste by segregation of metal saved the company £200,000 in one year. This proves being environmentally friendly will save money.”
