Constructing Excellence in the North East in conjunction with The Environmental Academy are delighted to be discussing the areas of Carbon Footprinting.
Measuring your Carbon Footprint is a key tool that a business can adopt to understand its energy consumption and associated emissions. It will assist in identifying opportunities to reduce energy consumption, thus reducing the organisations environmental impact and cutting costs at the same time.
As larger organisations hands are forced by regulation, measuring and reducing your Carbon Footprint will soon become a reality for smaller and medium size enterprises as well, either through direct regulation or through the supply chain.

- Green Apprentice Scheme – Get Help to Calculate Your Carbon Footprint
Michelle Campbell, Lead Senior Trainer and Environmental Consultant, Environmental Academy
Michelle has worked with the construction sector throughout the North East to deliver training on Site Waste Management Plans, Environmental Awareness and Legislation and to successfully implement ISO14001 Environmental Management Standard for many companies in the region. Michelle will be drawing on her experience as Senior Carbon Footprint Assessor at The Environmental Academy to deliver the Carbon Footprinting Workshop.
Mark Armstrong, Head of Energy Academy
Mark has extensive experience in the energy auditing of a wide range of sites from hotels and offices to leisure centres and large scale processing plants. He has recently completed a BRE accredited course enabling him to undertake the Simplified Building Energy Model.
